My car was there wayyyyyyyy beyond the expected date. No one ever reached out to me about delays. I would have to call in. When I did call the projected date always passed. Later I was told the person over my account was no longer there so my vehicle sat for months without being attended to. Parts weren't even ordered. I asked for a manager to call me back which didn't happen. I gave it a few days before calling again and was finally able to speak with him. At that time, he acted like I was bothering him. After my vehicle being there for almost 4 months I had it picked up without all the work completed. The only thing they did offer was $250 off of my insurance Deductible that was due. This is a lease from Thorson Buick, and the payments were still being made. What got me some resolution was filing a complaint with corporate. NEVER AGAIN will I lease or do business with Thorson!!!

I was very frustrated with the lack of communication. I dropped my car off at 7:45, requesting regular maintenance at 20k miles and also alerted the maintenance team of a high pitched screeching sound when braking the vehicle (more than just a normal amount). I asked that someone reach out on the particular issue to determine what needed to be done to give approval. At 1:30, I had not heard back. I called and had to leave a VM because my advisor, Luna, was at lunch. At 3:15, I still had not heard back so I called again. Luna answered this time, but stated the vehicle had not been started yet. This was extremely frustrating as the vehicle had been there for 8.5 hours. I finally got a call back at 4 saying the vehicle was ready, but the brake pads seemed fine so the noise must just be normal. I asked what I should do if the noise continues, and they said they’d need more time to investigate so I’d have to bring the vehicle again another time. As you can see, this was extremely frustrating and we clearly weren’t a priority. My expectation when scheduling service ahead of time is to have proper communication, and timely service done. At the end of the day, there was no communication, and it took 10+ hours to change the oil.

My first visit. Staff friendly, but I was not familiar with the process. There was no notification that the work was finished, so I checked with the cashier 15 minutes after it was "promised." It had been finished for a while. The cashier was simply busy with other paperwork. I worked with my previous dealership for 20 years, so I'm hoping I'll become more comfortable with Thorson Buick as time passes.

Jess was great, kept me in the loop of how the my truck was being inspected, estimate and finally when it was complete. Cashier - courteous Payment - a percentage extra when using a credit card, I know there is no affiliation, but I used my GMC Rewards credit card, that should have been something to be opted out that there would be no additional charge. The costs of repairs or maintenance is already high, especially in the past where tire rotations have not been done and a return visit was necessary, but that was the past. Today with Jess and Cashier, everything went smoothly.

I dropped my car off late Tuesday afternoon and by Friday the service rep never called me so I could know the progress of the repair and when to pick up the car. I called Friday morning and was diverted to a voice mail that I used to leave a message to have the service rep call me to tell me what was going on. Another 2-3 hours went by and I never got a call back so I called again. I this time press a link to get a person on the phone. She sent me to the cashier who told me that the paperwork that the car was done was not with her and was very unhelpful. I called again and spoke with a person who was finally very helpful after expressing my frustration and made sure that the technician called me. The service rep finally called me and I was told the car would be ready in 2 hours. The communication between the dealership and customers was terrible. This was a very unsatisfactory encounter and makes me reluctant to ever bring my car to your dealership for service in the future.

Apparently when they last did my brake job, they forgot to put the brake fluid cap back on. So when I took it for an oil change they noticed and informed I did not have a brake fluid cap. I was lucky that they agreed to not charge me when they realized their mistake.

Your sales representative Jose Palacios was as helpful as he could be. I communicated with Jose via phone and text messages to purchase the vehicle, he was very accommodating meeting me in Bakersfield to deliver the new vehicle in exchange for my trade. We signed all documents on the tailgate. I was happy with the price as advertised on line. When Jose sent me the price breakdown I noticed three aftermarket additions I did not wish to purchase, which was the Ally limited warranty $895, Ciljet ceramic protection $895, and the catalytic insurance $895. Jose rockets were required purchases or some rebate dollars would not be offered. He was able to have his manager remove one, being the catalytic insurance, but said the other two were non negotiable. I wanted the vehicle, so I did not argue. I did not purchase and extended warranty through Thorson, however I purchased one through my local GMC dealership. When the financing manager looked through my paperwork, she informed me that it was unethical for a dealership to require purchases of aftermarket products especially since they were not disclosed on the online pricing. She also indicated that I should have received an invoice indicating the Ciljet had been applied to support the warranty document. I have requested this from the Dealership, but have not received one as of yet. I would greatly appreciate this practice be discontinued by the dealership if it is in fact improper sales tactic, and would like to be refunded my expense for the two items I did not wish to purchase. I want to express that experience with the dealership sales person Daniel Wong at Thorson GMC was a delight. Our experience with the new 2025 GMC Yukon Elevation with Technology package is a huge disappointment. Therefore this is not about our experience with the dealership sales ( Daniel Wong) but with the vehicle itself. We purchased a 2025 Yukon Elevation with Technology Package with 18 miles, and have had it for less than two weeks but the car drives like an old car. The drive is extremely bumpy, the infotainment system rattles and so does the third row. I drove a Chevy Tahoe for ten years and wanted to upgrade to the Yukon because the Yukon was supposed to have a quieter cabin and a smoother ride, but my ten year old Tahoe rides smoother than this 2025 Yukon. There is constant rattling sounds from the front to the back seat and the suspension of this car. I strongly believe this car is defective I would want to believe that Thorston GMC will take immediate steps and the responsibility to address this situation in an expeditious manner.

Dealer rep was great. Tech for problem with my trucks front end steering was not good. Steering has a lot of play. New vehicle and steering is horrible. I took this truck to three dealerships and told them to drive it on the freeway. None of them did. I wasted my time. A lot of time. I dont want this truck anymore.

I’m coming to this dealership for my service for 3 years now and every time it’s getting worse. I don’t know what I have to take an appointment (at 11:30) for to wait for my car to be take care of at 3:30pm. I believe the name of the girl who takes care of that is Luna who didn’t even say hi to me when I walked in and gave me a bad look. I couldn’t get a hold on nobody during the day to know at what time I have to organize someone to drop me. I finally decided to go there and ask at the desk directly. When I showed up they didn’t seem to be too busy and they told me that my car was ready and waiting for me but nobody took the time to update me about anything. I’m starting to think about going somewhere else next time not because the mechanics are doing a bad job cause they seems to be the only ones working well but because the organization is a way too bad and difficult to deal with for me.

I signed up for my oil change on the gm app it asked if I wanted to use my points to pay for the oil change and had a check box of I wanted to. I checked the box and wanted to use my points. Then when it came time to pay I was charged full price for the service. I informed the lady at the counter that it was supposed to use my points to pay. She quickly grabbed my key fob back out of hand and said I needed to speak with the person that did my intake if I wanted to use the points. If I needed to speak with that intake person why did I check the box the on the app, shouldn't be checking the box let that person know I was using points. Why can't the person checking me out be able to just use my points. At this point it has been 2 hours, 2 hours for a oil change and tire rotation that is crazy to me. How does a oil change take hours I just said forget it I didn't have time to waste going back and forth about points. I also was sent a flyer in the mail stating that the oil change would cost 59.95 and then to my surprise it was 89.95 when I asked about this I was told there was no such offer and that I was already getting a sale price. Sounds like a bait and switch to me. I didn't bring the flyer with me because I thought thorson was a reputable business and didn't do this type of business practice but I guess I was wrong. I did find the flyer at home and it said the oil change price was 59.95. All things together especially the time that was wasted for a simple oil change 2 hours that's crazy to me. It was a bad experience

While Vince the rep has been great, you have had my car for what amounts to weeks and you can not seem to figure out what the problem is. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars so far and it seems your technician is guessing at what the issue is versus a true understanding of the car. You’re the dealer and no one should be better at diagnosing and fixing any issue with the Buick brand. It seems like the Buick is a lemon. And probably not a brand I’d buy again at the very least because even the dealer can’t solve the manufactures issues. Sad sad experience starting when the transmission went out at 30k miles in 2018.

Well, we just had the most delightful new auto buying experience in a long, long time. My wife needed a new truck so I researched all the different brands that fit our criteria and then complied a list of all the dealers that had those brands. I admit that after looking and researching all the makes and models online I was leaning a bit to the GMC line but we were going to visit them all, you know Ford, Toyota, Ram, and we started with Thorson GMC. Walked in and met Marco, sales associate, and the sales manager (Ted I think?) talked a bit and they located on the lot what we were looking for. Marco helped us a lot, showing and explaining all the many options on the truck (Canyon) and it sure looked good, but we wanted time and to complete our looking around at other makes, Marco and manager were very nice and didn’t try to rush or pressure us, (I admit buying a new auto from a dealer was the last thing I wanted to do, would rather go to the Dentist! My favorite line), they answered our questions and we were on our way. Well, that truck stuck in our minds and we were back Monday, we met Jose and he began helping us, again, a super pleasant fellow, listened well, didn’t push anything, just answered and shared all the things we needed to understand about this truck. We then asked about the biggie, what about the price? There was some calculations with the sales manager (I researched the pricing on the truck and had an idea of what a fair price was) and when they handed us the sales price we were very happy, it seemed very fair to the dealer and for us, so off we went to finance and met Ron the finance manager. He was as helpful, kind and non pressuring as everyone we had met there, we wrapped up the paperwork pretty quickly and were delighted to be the new owners of this beautiful GMC Canyon truck. Marco again helped us on pickup day and it felt like a celebration, Ron came out and the sales manager, Let me just say, on behalf of my wife and I, this was the most unexpectedly, delightful auto buying experience we have ever had, and the people at Thorson made it all happen for us! Juan’s the advisor has a lack of communication, vehicle was drop off, told him I Lived in San Diego and that my mothers husband pass away so I really needed my vehicle vehicle asap, or a vehicle loaner, he mentioned he had One for the following day, and that my vehicle needed to get diagnosed, well called back the next day and the following day after that and vehicle was still not diagnosed. Ended up getting a Car Rental to continue with my mothers funeral arrangements.

Trucks exhibiting transmission issues at 8k miles is unacceptable. Service didn’t write down half of the info I gave them and I see nothing in the report that details anything being done about the code that popped about the sensor for up and down shifting. Also there’s no point putting a promised by date if it’s not real. I’ve promptly sold my truck and will never buy a GM product ever again or return to Thorson.

I purchased my vehicle in 2020 and service has gone down. I recently brought it in for service and labor charges were over 2k. The total bill was $4200 and it took a week to pick up after i had to call the service tech over and over for updates. i had to bring it back immediately tje next due to the engine issue after it was just serviced. Im not sure i would recommend or come back for service.

First. I did not bring my pick up in on 9/23/25. I took it in on 9/16/25. Your information is incorrect. I took it in because after a car wash, the driver's side floorboard is a pool of water. Service department said nothing wrong. Once I picked it up (and it was filthy dirty) I went to the car wash on 6/19/25 and the same thing happened. I rented a car for 3 days for nothing. I am leery to take it in once again.

The staff were cordial and willing to serve. There was a thorough explanation by the Advisor as to what appears to be our dilemma with our vehicle. We originally thought the diagnostic would lead to a discovery of the root of our problem and the car would be left for multiple days. Problem was diagnosed expeditiously and the promise for completion was indeed met. The car was completely repaired in the same day we left it!! When i when to get my truck they say that the oil change wasn't done, that was the main reason for my service, they didn't reset the oil service light for the truck i have to wait 20 more minutes, they say the my routers needs to be replaced but the life of the pads are at 64% and the warranty doesn't cover, doesn't make sense because routers should be replaced after 2 change of pads with correct maintenance of course

I was very disappointed in the way things were handled. I dropped my car off at 7:30 AM, left my car in the first Customer parking spot and dropped my key in the designated key box. My car appointment was at 7:30 AM with Ceasar (I do believe). Left went to work as my day starts at 8:00 AM. Was very busy at worked my day ended at 4:30 PM called Thorson to get the status of my car. Just to be told my car was not touched all day. The service was never done. I had an appointment at 5:15 PM to look at a home as I lost my home in the Fires. I had to cancel and lost out on a place for my family to stay. I was they would do the work, and my car would be ready at by 6:00 PM. My friend that offered to give me a ride to pick up my car could not wait that long, so I had to pay to get there. Of course, upon arrival the service department was closed. I went inside no one was available to help me for a few minutes until I saw Geoge and he remember me from purchase day and immediately attended to me and located my keys. I truly feel this was not good customer service. I should not have to call to make sure someone was doing their job. My car had an appointment at 7:30 and it was parked in the customer parking spot. which there is only 2 spots. Why did my car go overlooked and why was Ceaser not looking for his 7:30 AM appointment? Just questions or concerns I feel that should have not been overlooked. I love my vehicle and appreciate that they did something, but it leads me to believe what really did they in such a short time, who knows?

Getting worse every time I go. Drop my car for a light engine check, I took an appointment for 10am and then didn’t hear anything the whole day, tried to call but like ALWAYS no answer. I had to stop by in person to be told that the person in charge for my car was gone without even bothering to give me a call to tell me I wouldn’t get my car back until the next day. Next day this is what I thought but I got my car back almost two weeks later because they had to order parts and once the parts were here I had to wait an other week. I had to go in person every single time to talk to someone because nobody never answered the phone. Plus the day I was finally supposed to pick up my car I miraculously had a phone call for them to tell me the battery was dead and needed to be change when I never had a single problem with the battery. This place is such a shame, unprofessional and I ended up never seeing the person in charge for my car. The employees themselves telling me that this Luna is the worse person I could have picked to take care of it. First off, I bought my Hummer from you, and though I wasn't sure at first, now I love it. But it is really hard to recommend you after the experiences that I have had. First, several months ago, I was contacted by GMC, and they ask that I bring my Hummer in, and they were going to take my battery and run some test on it and give me a new battery. I tried to coordinate through your dealership, and it was difficult. Finally, I had an appointment for your techs to check it out, and when I showed up, I got "oh they are busy today and the one guy isn't here, we will call you when we are ready for you" Needless to say, I never got that call. But that is water under the bridge. The latest go around was, I have a cracked windshield. When I purchased the Hummer, I was talked into buying the Windshield Protection Package. It was explained to me that there was a good chance the windshield would get a crack and that this would make it easy. Bring it in, and they will fix it at no charge. So, I made an appointment, left a message that it was both a tire rotation and a windshield replacement. Left my number and was promised a call back. There was no call back. When I brought the car in. The first thing the service agent told me was "Its going to take about two and half weeks". I said "NO" Waited to meet the Service Manager, finally did. The excuse is, they have to take a lot of pictures of the crack, turn them into the insurance company and then get it approved. Then order the windshield, get it and then have somebody come in and install it, because they don't. I left my car there for day, let them take pictures and rotate the tires and then picked the car up and hopefully will come back in 2 weeks to have the windshield installed. So , either you have a poor service department, or you sell poor windshield insurance, or both. Either way, it makes it difficult to recommend you. To make this even more of a problem for you, I am a car guy. I often go to Cars and Coffee, and if it is damp, I'll take the Hummer rather than my Ferrari. And the Hummer gets as much attention as the Ferrari. Please Fix Your Problems.

I have taken my vehicle to this dealership for a key fob issue where my GMC Yukon didn’t recognize the key fob despite having a new battery in the key fob or placing the key fob in the cup holder. The dealership was unable to determine the cause of the issue and I continue to have issues where I get stranded in parking lots or at gas stations where i cannot start my Yukon because of the key fob issue.

The service advisor was absolutely terrible! Zero customer service. Lied multiple times about when my vehicle would be done., he was very hard to get a hold of. Apparently he takes 2 hour lunch breaks. I called multiple times over a 2 hour span and was told “he’s at lunch”. Left my name and number with 2 different people as a message to call me back and he never did. My vehicle was taken in for a warranty issue. No loaner car was even offered to me till after 7 days which 4 of those days I was told the vehicle would be ready by the end of the day. When the vehicle was finally done there was a service message displayed on the dash. I was never notified or given the option to have it done or not. When I questioned him about it his response to my face was “what do you want me to do?” Absolutely terrible!

I originally went to get a brake job which included resurfacing the rotors. I’ve stated to let me know if I needed new rotors and pending cost I would just do it myself so they called and said I needed new rotors and I wanted to decline but was told that they already have them off to do it some excuse to not put my original back on completely baited me to continue but I refused work on rear just my opinion but mark up on parts is extreme can’t speak for labor. Also customer service in the service center could be a bit better when I came in I was not greeted or asked if needed help until standing looking at staff for almost 5 minutes. I’m not a review type of person but this experience just wasn’t the greatest I feel as if they got over on me

Natalee was amazing and helped set everything up over the phone, which made it easier. When I was ready to come in though, it took over two hours for them to get me to sign paperwork, even though everything was set up. I was rather frustrated because I was ready to sign, and I almost was about to leave because of it taking so long. They didn’t seem to have enough staff and also weren’t very helpful when it came to getting me in and out.
